Michigan HitchHiker Mini Rally

DSC_0683

The Michigan Mini Rally is winding down.We started gathering on Saturday, August 14th at Leisure Lake Family Campground in Sumner, MI. A few had to leave yesterday and the rest of us head out today. It has been a great time. Although there were only a total of eleven rigs, it was a fun loving group who had a good time. It was our kind of group; while eating one meal we were planning the next meal. We hit all the good places to eat in this area. We played games: Pegs and Jokers, Mexican Train, washer toss, ladder golf and others.

This is a very nice campground. You can fish in the lake without a license since it is a private lake.

One side trip was to the Cider Mill Farm. Cider tasting, donuts, fresh produce & fruit, and wine tasting were available here.

It was a beautiful site with all the orchards and attractive barn buildings. With moderate temperatures it was a great outing.

Lunch at a Mennonite restaurant in Ithaca, MI was a real treat.

This is where it all happened. We gathered here throughout the day for various festivities from meals, to games , and just visiting.

We all gathered one morning for muggles, scrambled pancakes, for breakfast.

No rally is complete without a pot luck. What a spread we had!

No one went away hungry.

What a good looking group!

As we did on other nights, we enjoyed the warmth of a fire in the cool evening on the last night. Notice the blues and greens in the flames. It was fun to gather with old friends and make new friends. With heavy hearts we leave but know that we will run into each other down the road.

I am interested in ridesharing in all forms including hitchhiking.

Would you consider answering my 10 questions about hitching. Please.

HitchHiker is the brand name of our camper. We don't actually hitchhike.
